Our Story

It all started in a small garage back in 2001. Our founder, John Yukon, was an avid hobbyist woodworker who was frustrated with the limited selection of tool storage options. The products on the market were either flimsy and prone to rust, or cost a small fortune. John knew there had to be a better way.

Armed with a small loan and his expertise as a welder, John began hand-crafting tool cabinets tough enough for the pros, but affordable for DIYers. Word spread quickly about these rugged and reliable tool lockers, with integrated wood tops perfect for workshop tasks. Local shops and garages snapped up our first production run as fast as we could build them.

Bolstered by this early success, we moved out of John’s garage into a modest workshop to meet the growing demand. We expanded our catalog to include tool carts, chests, benches, and a variety of storage accessories. Innovative features like smooth-gliding drawers, industrial casters, and robust locking mechanisms became hallmarks of the Yukon brand.

Over the next decade, Yukon Tool® experienced steady growth, forging partnerships with retailers across the nation. Even as our operations scaled up, we never lost sight of John’s original vision – providing professional grade tool storage at a price point anyone could afford. American Made

From raw materials to final assembly, the vast majority of our production happens at our Midwest facility. We take pride in keeping manufacturing jobs in the USA. The “Made in America” stamp means quality control at every step of the process.

Our Facility

Our 120,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Saint Paul, Minnesota is specially designed for efficient fabrication and assembly of our tool storage product lines.

The welding stations employ advanced CNC machines for precision cutting and forming of stainless steel sheets. Components are finished with environmentally-responsible powder coating. Only corrosion resistant paint formulas are used.

Woodworking equipment shapes and finishes the solid wood tops used in our signature hybrid cabinets and workbenches. Robust joinery ensures the wood components remain securely integrated across years of heavy shop use.

Assembly and packing stations have ergonomic fixtures and tools designed for safe and rapid construction of our finished products. Each product is individually quality tested before being prepped for shipping.

We run multiple shifts to keep pace with demand, while maintaining a clean, safe, and positive working environment for our valued employees. The facility expansion over the years reflects our steady business growth.

Our core product line, Yukon Tool Cabinets employ all-steel construction with quality powder-coated finishes. Various configurations from one to nine drawers provide flexible storage options. Full-extension slides allow easy access, even to the rear of deep drawers. Integrated locking bars secure the contents. Durable casters permit effortless shop mobility.

For the ultimate in workspace expandability, our patented interlock system allows combining multiple cabinets. Optional end caps give a finished look to standalone units. Ample desktop space and specialized cabinet interiors make these a go-to for pros.

Hybrid Tool Cabinets

The Yukon Hybrid Series combines sturdy steel cabinet bodies with thick, industrial grade maple tops. The integrated worksurfaces provide an ideal assembly area or workspace for stationary shop tools. Spacious cabinet interiors neatly organize hand tools, power tools, accessories, or bulk supplies.

Hybrid models employ our signature slide and lift drawer design. The sliding mechanism permits full access to drawers, even with the cabinet tucked under a workbench. A built-in gas lift smoothly raises the worksurface for standing tasks. This innovative hybrid approach delivers flexible function for diverse workspace needs.

Tool Carts

With heavy-duty steel construction, Yukon tool carts provide a mobile solution for managing supplies and smaller power tools. Available in both chest and cabinet configurations, units can be combined in vertical stacks with our proprietary side-rail system. Smooth-action ball bearing drawers have a staged stop mechanism for steady opening and closing.

Tool carts allow creating portable “workstations on wheels” customized to your storage needs. Optional professional grade casters, with oversized wheels, make rolling these fully-loaded carts a breeze across shop floors. The rugged frames and reliable drawer slides provide years of service.

Tool Boxes

For transporting tools and keeping them protected in challenging job site environments, Yukon tool boxes deliver. Rugged structural foam cases shield contents from moisture, impacts, and corrosive debris. Water-tight gasket seals and heavy duty latches keep the elements out.

Tool boxes come in various portable sizes, with customizable interiors. The unique lid organizations systems allow quick ID and access to needed tools at a glance. Tough carry handles and shoulder straps make for easy transport. Stackable cases allow upgrading storage capacity as mobile tool demands grow.

Workbenches

For the heart of any professional shop, our workbenches provide sturdy, flat worksurfaces for precision tasks. The thick laminated wood benchtops withstand years of use. Their wide spans offer ample workspace area without sagging.MATCHVEIN® technology in the laminate minimizes visible seams.

Underbench storage keeps supplies readily available but out of the way. Sliding drawers and locking cabinets provide customizable storage for larger bench configurations. Accessory racks, hooks, and hangers allow positioning essential tools within easy reach. Benches can be ordered standalone, or with matching lower cabinets.

Shelving Units

Yukon shelving units maximize storage density for smaller items, bulk materials, or inventory. Standard units have four adjustable shelves, with plenty of clearance beneath to accommodate large power tools or storage containers. For increased load capacity, available options include heavier gauge steel, additional bracing, and double row shelving.

Versatile track slotted uprights allow repositioning shelves in 1-inch increments. Shelves themselves have multiple slots for dividing clips, bins, or basket organizers. Optional drawers, cabinets, and rubber mats integrate easily into the basic shelving frames. Casters can be added for mobility.

The Yukon shelving line accommodates many configurations. Extend storage upwards with available add-on sections. Reach full room height with the addition of secure locking doors. With the Yukon modular system, you can customize and evolve your storage as needs change.
